Primary autoimmune thrombocytopenia in pregnancy: maternal and neonatal outcomes

Aim: To evaluate clinical characteristics, maternal and neonatal outcomes among pregnant women with primary autoimmune thrombocytopenia (ITP). Materials methods: All ITP who had undergone antenatal follow-up delivery at the Department of Obstetrics Gynecology a referral center, between 2011 2021, were retrospectively investigated. Patients evaluated in three groups according to treatment modality. Results: 42 included study. A total 29 (%69) womenhad been diagnosed before pregnancy 13(%31) during pregnancy. 17 (%41) did not receive any treatment, 25 (%59) receieved treatment. Postpartum haemorrhage (%50) was reported more frequently steroids+IVIG group. pregnancies, 43 babies (one twin pregnancy, 41 singletons) liveborn. Three neonates (%7) one them intracranial haemorrhage. Conclusions: In pregnancies complicated ITP, platelet count is moderately or severely low, which can have adverse outcomes. significant cause morbidity cases ITP. Therefore, should be delivered facilities that adequately manage postpartum
